To protect the memory card with a password, press Menu, and select 

Memory card

Security

 > 

Change password...

. Enter the

current password (if already set); then enter the new password, confirm it, and press 

OK

. The password can be up to 8 characters

long. The password is stored in your device and you do not need to enter it again while you use the memory card on the same

device. If you use the memory card on another device, you are asked for the password. Not all memory cards support password

protection.

Tip:  The password is case sensitive, and you can use upper and lowercase letters. You can also use numbers.

To remove the memory card password, press Menu, and select 

Memory card

Security

 > 

Remove password...

. Enter the current

password, and press 

Remove

.

To format a memory card, press Menu, and select 

Memory card

 > 

Format memory card...

. All memory card data is permanently

deleted.

To back up or restore data to or from a memory card, press Menu, and select 

Memory card

 > 

Backup to memory card...

 or 

Restore

from memory card...

.
