Statistics radio buttons
Use the Statistics radio buttons to learn more about your data, either in columns or
rows.
Values for each row or column are shown numbered in the order they appear in the
original data matrix. The statistics calculated are as follows.
Mean This is the mean of all the values in each row or column of the data matrix.
Median This is the median of all the values in each row or column of the data
matrix.
Sum This is the sum of all the values in each row or column of the data matrix.
SumSqr This is the sums of squares of all the values in each row or column of the
data matrix.
Variance This is the variance of all the values in each row or column of the data
matrix.
Skewness This is the skewness of all the values in each row or column of the data
matrix.
Kurtosis This is the kurtosis of all the values in each row or column of the data
matrix.

Sample Correspondence Check
This form, which appears before any analysis is undertaken, is shown if the result of a
comparison of sample titles in the Biological and Environmental data arrays shows
them to be unmatched. The first column shows the order of titles in the Working
Biological Data grid and the second the order of samples titles in the Working
Environmental Data grid. Here, we deleted data for Site 2 in the Biological Data in
order to create the disparity shown here. The third column indicates whether the two
match. The comparison is not case sensitive.
